Postdoctoral Fellow
Zoe is an early career researcher specialising in children and young people's mental health and development. Her research interests include the protective role of adventurous play in promoting positive mental health and reducing the risk of mental health symptoms, as well as understanding the factors that influence parents' support for children's adventurous play opportunities. Zoe has contributed to the development of strategic research infrastructure to advance children and young people's mental health research and has worked on several randomised controlled trials evaluating interventions for child anxiety.
Her doctoral research examined intolerance of uncertainty, investigating behavioural, cognitive and emotional responses to uncertainty and developmental associations with mental health. She has expertise in experimental, longitudinal, qualitative and mixed-methods research and is experienced in interdisciplinary research settings. Her research aims to further understanding and inform practice to improve mental health outcomes for children, young people and their families.
