Dr Kathryn Hesketh

UKRI Future Leaders Fellow

Kathryn is a UKRI Future Leaders Fellow in Behavioural Epidemiology based at University College London. Her work has a strong Maternal and Child Health focus, she works across disciplinary backgrounds to promote physical activity in families with young children. Kathryn’s UKRI Future Leaders Fellowship aims to provide vital information about physical activity in women during the transition to motherhood. Kathryn also leads an NIHR funded project focused on active play in young children, in collaboration with Prof. Dodd. This research focuses on understanding the role of play in young children’s healthy physical and emotional development.
